Remember when you were in High School and your team made it to state and the cheerleaders plastered state bound all over the vehicles leading you to your destination?...well, we will not be doing that for the state TT, but that is where we are heading in about eight hours.
Jason, TJ and I hit up a Big Tree in our aero gear. Needless to say that the loop is a bit more vertically challenging than I would normally would like to ride my TT bike on. However, we had to make sure things were dialed in.
Things at work were crazy...I haven't worked a Saturday in ages. I really almost forgot how intense they can be. So, that was quite exhausting. Sarah Ashman broke out of retirement and won the Womens' Single Speed Championships down in Jeff City today, while another co-worker, Keven Bricknel took second in the mens. Way to go Walt's crew.
This evening, I went grocery shopping, watched Tour vision, and cleand up a gang of dishes.
Updates tomorrow regarding bike racing, and bourbon drinking.
A Beginning and An End.

Hey say congrats to sarah for me. I miss seeing all of you...but I am imagining the heat and humidity and well...I am quite content in the north :)
This is a really cool deal. How do I make a website on this thing?
Oh, about the games. Well I did qualify but they screwed up on my elgibility. You have to be UNDER 23 as of last year, not this year. So its a no go. They are so stupid down there. They made a big post on the website and everything...silly
Anywho, I am actually suppose to be doing a tri as we speak but after last weekend my knee has been bothering me a little. A littel hamstring strain. I have been taking it easy but hopefully I can go for run today. My ride yesterday wasn't too bad.
Next weekened is my first elite U23 (I know you are probably utterly confused about the U23 but in tri I am still in that cat) anyhow as I was saying, this next weekend I am going in my first U23 sprint triathlon with drafting legal. It should be fun....however...my swim is slow so I think I may become dead last as everyone will be in a pack way ahead on the bike. For nats I am going in the elite category...scary! I hope my knee is ok.
No more bike racing now though. THere is a huge ICU tour in bc right now that I sort of wish I was doing. BC super week. Lots of americans come up and do it. Big people and big names!
Anywho, why don't you fly to Tucsun? Can't be that expensive? or do you need a car there? I would say I would fly to MO but gosh, that is a LONG drive....if we ride our bikes halfway :)
Anywho, good luck on the TT...oh, by the way, I am selling my tri bike. Can't use it for anything now because I have to use my road bike with spinachi bars for the tri's now. and well the way its set up is caca for any TT...my coach tried to work with it but its a no go. I have it on ebay but if you know of anyone....or a way to sell it... that'd be awesome.

PS...did I say GL on your TT! ?
PSS...you like my username!
Yeah, as soon as I saw the username, I knew it was you. However, the turtle is a bit counter-intuitive, because you are more like a rabbit on your bike. The TT went well, you can read about that in the latest chronicles of curt.
Yeah, down here, U23 means that if you aren't under 23 in the current racing year by December the 31, you are over 23...I think that is wierd also, but you guys are all turned around up in Canadia.
BC Superweek would have been super cool to attend. Superweek for us didn't really go as planned. I should be up in Wisconsin racing right now, but things just did not happen as planned.
Good luck in the up and comming events, and I will keep my ears and eyes open for those looking for a TT bike.
